NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 25, 2010) – 220 Entertainment Group and Xist Music recently announced a new joint-venture at the STAND: The Movie Preview Party event on Saturday, January 15 in Nashville, TN and at the 26th Annual Stellar Awards press event.

The announcement also included the two new Xist Music signings of touted rappers, The Ambassador and Da’ T.R.U.T.H., who both performed at the event and an exclusive distribution agreement with 220 Entertainment Group. Both newly signed Xist Music artists will release projects in 2011 and have plans for major tours throughout the country this year. “We are truly excited to partner with these two powerful and creative men of God. Having weathered the tumultuous past year, they both have emerged with rich testimonies that we believe will bring healing and strength to the masses. It’s an honor to add The Ambassador and Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s unique platforms of ministry to the Xist family,” said CEO T. Black.

The Ambassador (theambassadoronline.com) is the former primary spokesperson and a founding member of The Cross Movement—the groundbreaking GRAMMYâ, GMA Dove and Stellar nominated Philadelphia-based hip-hop group. He released a total of three genre-shifting solo offerings and six successful CDs, including the GRAMMY and Stellar nominated release HIStory—the climatic finale with the acclaimed pioneers. He will release his debut Xist Music project—titled Stop the Funeral—this summer. He has toured globally for over 15 years and his powerful message has attracted media outlets as diverse as BET’s “Bobby Jones Gospel,” TBN’s “Praise the Lord” and “Real Videos, Time Magazine, CCM Magazine, VIBE, The Source, Billboard and The Washington Post.

Da’ T.R.U.T.H. (datruth.net) debuted as a Christian Hip Hop artist with his first album Moment of Truth and will release his initial Xist Music project—and fifth solo offering—The Whole Truth this fall. Da’ T.R.U.T.H. is the three-time Stellar Award Winner for Rap/Hip Hop Gospel CD of the Year—The Faith (2007), Open Book (2009) & The Big Picture (2010)—the latter two also snagged GRAMMY® and GMA Dove nominations. The Big Picture was the first Christian Hip Hop CD to debut #1 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel Chart and his second debut at #2 on the Billboard Gospel Charts. He’s toured globally and was a featured artist on the HERO Tour with Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary. His television appearances include performing on the “24th Annual Stellar Awards” and features on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16,” BET’s “BET News” and “Lift Every Voice, TBN’s “Praise The Lord,” GMC’s “G-Insider” and “Christmas Voices,” GOD TV, DayStar Network’s “Celebration” and “Check the Sound,” NRB’s “RAW TV,” INSP’s “Steelroots” and “Mixx Master’s Lounge” and more. Additional media highlights include Vibe, ESSENCE, The Source, XXL, Sister2Sister, JET, Charisma, CCM and New Man magazines.

Together, Xist Music and 220 Entertainment Group will collaborate on upcoming music, film and television projects, with a unique vision to create new entertainment programming in the hip-hop, faith-based and mainstream arenas. Xist Music and 220 Entertainment Group will be announcing additional signings in the coming weeks as well as a Fall 2011 tour featuring the Xist Music roster. Future releases will include new music from Xist co-founder Sean Simmonds and the soundtrack to the movie STAND. See www.xistmusic.com for more information.
